I'm far from conservative. Obama is a horrible president. He's actually, I had no idea it was possible, worse than Bush 2.

What sucks is that people don't understand that there is no difference between an elected liberal and elected conservative.
The only difference between civilian conservatives and liberals is hot button issues fed to us by the elected representatives of "our party".

If we'd ever stop the infantile bickering over bs, we'd see that pretty clearly.

It's been a month and two weeks since the original post. It must REALLY suck to be a conservative now that the GOP is fully engaged in a schizophrenic war with itself.

Honestly- did anyone actually believe the GOP was so crazy as to shut down the government? I sure didn't believe that would happen, back on August 24th.

No, it's been 4 years since the original post GOP has already lost 2 presidential elections since the OP was made. No wonder their base is becoming unhinged. 2 lost elections and one lucky mid-term that is probably going to reverse itself in 2014

The current level of conservatism is climbing and is as high as it was in 1952 and 1980.

Strike Two. It has been 5 years, 1 month, and 2 weeks since the OP. Can't you liberal Democrats even do simple grade school arithmatic? LOL

In 2014 the GOP will hold onto the House and have a chance to take the Senate. After a year of Obamacare and still more inept blundering by the Obama admininstration the nation will be ready for a change by election day, just as in 2010. Look for the TEA party to come roaring back and become a force in 2014. They are not remotely extinct, as so many leftists think and hope for.

It definitely doesn't suck being a conservative. I thank God every single day that I'm not one of the alternative. Thank You, God!

Default It must suck being a conservative these days

It's actually pretty damn good these days, especially the last few in particular. I've greatly enjoyed watching the gov. leeches crying about this gov. "shut down" and how the world was going to end if they didn't get their rations like normal. I haven't been bothered one bit by this shut down as have millions of other conservative Americans who don't rely on the gov. to hold our hands every day. Of course older people will begin to hurt when the gov. fails to give them their hard earned social security checks but those who are crying the loudest have never lifted a finger to help themselves.
