Obama seeks to silence ad tying him to 60s radical

DENVER (AP) - Barack Obama is striking back fiercely and swiftly to stamp out an ad that links him to a 1960s radical, eager to demonstrate a far more aggressive response to attacks than John Kerry did when faced with the 2004 "Swift Boat" campaign.
Obama not only aired a response ad to the spot linking him to William Ayers, but he sought to block stations the commercial by warning station managers and asking the Justice Department to intervene. The campaign also planned to compel advertisers to pressure stations that continue to air the anti-Obama commercial.

It's the type of going-for-the-jugular approach to politics many Democrats complain that Kerry lacked and that Republicans exploit.

Obama's target is an ad by the conservative American Issues Project, a nonprofit group that questions Obama's ties to Ayers, a founder of the Weather Underground organization that took credit for a series of bombings, including nonfatal explosions at the Pentagon and U.S. Capitol four decades ago.

This will not go away for Barack Obama. He needs to address his Bill Ayers friendship during a debate with McCain.

After Hillary Clinton brought up Bill Ayers and Obama's friendship and working relationship, Barack Obama never debated Hillary again.

If it's not Ayres, it will be Rezko ... they haven't even revved up to speed on him yet.

Oh this is going to be really sad.

Barry is going to find himself on the wrong side of the fence on many discussion between now and November.

Once his protective curtain of "hope" and bull**** are pulled back, the show will be over in what should have been the easiest Dem win in the history of America.

The truth always comes out. It will again this time, as in the past. It will certainly be fun to watch Barry and Meeshell squirm.

Obama can do nothing, the moron is now whining about it.

Now he is caught in another lie, he said that Ayers is a neighbor and that is it, that they have never exchanged ideas, what a lie.

Obama actually started his political career at Ayers house.

This won't die, people cannot stand traitors like Obama and wont stand for him to get away with this.

Wait for the paperwork to flow out tonight on Ayers and Obama teamwork.

Sure Obama is trying to keep anything from coming out, why? because he has got away with it so far and of course, it is his right to hide it..

Just had this on Fox. Brett was asked if we've seen the last of this....um, no.

They brought up his answer in one of the debates - he was just a neighbor. A lie, of course.

Clearly, he was more than that, and it appears ALL the media has representatives scouring those 700 boxes of records.

I'm a former Marine.

PS: I've voted Republican since Nixon. I have yet to vote Dem. That will happen for the first time in November.

The Democrats should have nominated Hillary.

Barack Obama is too much of a Leftist for the average Democrat Party voters. With Obama's lack of experience and far-Left views, it's gonna backfire. Moderate Democrats will vote for America, rather than the party's Leftist-push. It's not going to be a good thing for the party... unless it is the American Communist Party.

Why Nancy Pelosi, Howard Dean and the Democrat Leadership pushed through Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton, I'll never understand...
