I've always liked Dennis's straightforwardness, even though I disagree with him on a lot of what he is straight forward about. At least he's a guy where you never wonder where he REALLY stands on the issues.

A practical man means a man accustomed to mere daily practice, to the way things commonly work. When things will not work, you must have the thinker, the man who has some doctrine about why they work at all. It is wrong to fiddle while Rome is burning; but it is quite right to study the theory of hydraulics while Rome is burning." (G.K. Chesterton)

"Practical men" running things for the past 20 years have gotten us into a mess. If Kucinish is a fruitcake, then maybe it's time to let the fruitcakes run things for a while.

The real reason a guy like Kucinich will never seriously run for the Presidency is because we require all that corporate money to finance a campaign. They would not like Kucinich because he does not pull punches when it comes to business and corruption.

No really honest guy or alternate party has a chance in the US. The only thing that could give us hope is to change the financing of campaigns and that won't happen.
