Mitt Romney aimed similar talking points at Joe Biden, Obama's veep pick, but also displayed his own confusion. The former Massachusetts governor and McCain primary foe repeatedly mixed up the Soviet Union and Russia in discussing who is making threats against Poland and Georgia.
"Excuse me for the slip if I said Soviets, I meant the Russians," Romney said at a Denver lunch with reporters. Then he talked about the Soviets twice again in his next answer.
Poor guys. They don't know who the real enemy is. They're believing their own propaganda, past and present.
disturbing considering the tensions between the two countries.. fruedian slips like that show us your true mindset in international policy.. "cold war" mentality anyone?
the 80's sucked.. lets not go back to that please...romney is a reagan wannabe... blech...
Romney offered up something no one else did. Doing something serious about illegal immigration and border control. I might of been willing to delay my hopes for UHC to get something done about illegals, as they do add great expense to healtcare and taxes. I dont care if he is a morman or flip flops on abortion. Calling russia the soviets isnt much of stretch these days. Romney VS Hillary would of been much better entertainment, which is about all we get from politicians anyway.
