In honor of those affected by the events of September 11, 2001, how do you feel about taking this day off from the usual debate and declare one day of peace in the forum?
Remember there is more than unites us than divides us!
hear here... I agree. I've only been browsing this forum for a few hours now and I'm already worn out. Someone else started a thread a few hours ago using September 11th as a means to insult liberal democrats. He got cussed out and torn to pieces by a few people... including me before the thread got deleted. I was scared another had got started here. Thank you for being mature and considerate of everyone here.

Totally agreed. No conservatism, no liberalism, no socialism - just Americanism.
I sure have been thinking about it. I guess b/c it is an election year, it seems 9/11 has been on my mind more than in the last few years at the anniversary.
I agree - we are all Americans, and even if we may have different philosophies, religious beliefs, cultural backgrounds, etc. . . . in the end, we all want the same things: strong communities and a safe place where we can live, raise our families . . . enjoy the freedoms that come with being "American."
I am just sad that none of the headlines this morning were about this anniversary. I lost friends and if it weren't for a missed meeting I'd have lost my spouse as well. God Bless America.
