Why is it now that the Republicans all the sudden hate "earmarks"?? The same party that has, for 8 years loaded the Federal budget with all kinds of goodies for their states and districts including this year's massive farm bill. Have they got a case of "good government" all the sudden??
No! I think they have a motive and a good one- for them. They remember how Tom DeLay used to budget process to bring home lots of projects to Republican districts and red states while the Democrats got kicked in the teeth and the blue areas got little to nothing. Billions and billions in fact went to red states including the "Bridge to Nowhere" for Ted Stevens in Alaska while blue states like Minnesota watched as bridges fell down and killed people.
And what REALLY scares the hell out of them is the fear the Democrats might do likewise except for the blue states this time.

Because that's all their campaign has been about: turning the truth on its head.

They couldn't even come up with their own campaign them--they had to steal Obama's.
