Where would McCain/Palin be if they had ran an open and honest campaign and had not used Obama's message and ideas?

In other words, what would the GOP have if McCain/Palin take out the Obama's message, take out the lies, take out the attacks, take out the images, and take out the illusions?

I don't believe less taxes is Obama's position. I don't see McCain asking for a trillion dollars worth of federal hand-outs. McCain said he would veto all bills with earmarks. Is this one of Obama's ideas. It can't be because Obama has asked for and received earmarks for his own state (alot of earmarks). What ideas are you saying McCain stole? Please be specific. Please don't say the word "change". Words do not mean much.
