I agree the shirt was not a slogan I would want my children to wear, however the school asked kids to wear something that showed their own individual patriotism. The school didn't put guidelines or stipulations on the project and the kid should not have been suspended. In the future the school may want to lay out clear guidelines as this family has a right to appeal and sue.
The left really needs to get a grip....everytime I see an anti-Bush slogan or a No "W" sticker I just laugh to myself as Bush not only won once but he won twice.....hahahahahaha
You don't have to attack those that don't agree with you....it is so much more fun to have your canidate win. McCain/Palin 2008
I don't know that kids should wear shirts with political hype to school, regardless of who they are for or against Its not like the other kids are running out to vote any time soon!
I am proud. Bush has kept the country safe from Bin Laden....Clinton couldn't do that (Khobar bombings, USS Cole, 1st Trade center bombing all under Clinton's presidency). Bush has tried since 2003 to reform freddie/fannie and been shot down by the dems in congress who were taking bribes. I own my own company under Bush and am doing very well. I don't agree with him on all things but he has done a good job despite the democratic led congress. Bush went against his own joint chiefs to move forward with the surge....he was told by his joint chiefs that the surge may not work...good thing he didn't listen as we all know now that the surge has worked and Bush has made the deal with Iraq to start to bring the troops home.

In 2005, the Senate Banking Committee, then under Republican control, adopted a strong reform bill, introduced by Republican Sens. Elizabeth Dole, John Sununu and Chuck Hagel, and supported by then chairman Richard Shelby. The bill prohibited the GSEs from holding portfolios, and gave their regulator prudential authority (such as setting capital requirements) roughly equivalent to a bank regulator. In light of the current financial crisis, this bill was probably the most important piece of financial regulation before Congress in 2005 and 2006. All the Republicans on the Committee supported the bill, and all the Democrats voted against it.Mr. McCain endorsed the legislation in a speech on the Senate floor. Mr. Obama, like all other Democrats, remained silent.
I saw this on TV last night, honestly something tells me this kid would have received more lenient treatment had it been an Anti-McCain shirt. Everyone loves to baby Nobama, even our schools.
I feel sorry for that kid, it's obvious that his father has very strong views that he's pushing on him, alienating him from his peers.
