When he faces off against Sarah Palin Thursday night, Joe Biden will have his hands full.

I should know. I've debated Governor Palin more than two dozen times. And she's a master, not of facts, figures, or insightful policy recommendations, but at the fine art of the nonanswer, the glittering generality. Against such charms there is little Senator Biden, or anyone, can do.
...
"Andrew, I watch you at these debates with no notes, no papers, and yet when asked questions, you spout off facts, figures, and policies, and I'm amazed. But then I look out into the audience and I ask myself, 'Does any of this really matter?' " Palin said.

People who know better....will know better. Damn, I just did a mini-Palin. Anyway, she can spin & talk in circles all she likes, it comes down to the fact that we all know she doesn't know what she's talking about. She can't try to charm us or work some sort of magic over us, we're smarter than that, we see through her ridiculousness.

Wow, great article. No wonder McCain picked her as his running mate. Remember one of his Iraq answers? When he started babbling about some guy's bracelet he was wearing? And Obama called him on his pandering B.S. by saying he also had one?

I think the advice is good, too. Biden should focus on elaborating his own ideas and policies and ignore the airhead next to him. This isn't the University of Alaska - this is a national televised audience and people are going to see through her non-answers if that's what she's going to rely on.
