Maybe you could try listening past the first 10 seconds of the very video you posted, and also try listening to the question as it was phrased.

The question was "which poses more risk to the average American?", and the answers were stated in the right order (well, actually corn syrup should have been ahead of coal, but whatever). If you look at the number of "average Americans" killed by terrorist attacks vs the number of people who die due to diseases that can be attributed to poor dietary habits, etc., the terrorist attacks pale by comparison. Of course, that would require that you take you blinders off and think about the actual question for a minute, which I would never expect from someone who's so dazzled by the complete idiot that McCain selected as a VP candidate.

Biden also went on to talk about the fact that terrorists are definitely a real threat, and can't be dismissed- but again, that would require you to listen past the first part of the soundbite.

yes, but we don't have any control over terrorism, but we have control over corn syrup. we can choose not to consume it. the real threat is our lack of self restraint.

I hope the impact of corn syrup verus terrorism on the average American becomes a topic at tonight's debate. I'm sure Governor Palin will have valuable insights to share with us on this quite important issue. Similiar but equally profound lines of questioning could be:

- Binocular sales in Alaska are on the rise: Is Russian privacy endangered?
- Major news networks acquire footage of Senator Obama drinking black coffee: Media experts claim this as evidence for his ties to the Black Panther organization.

Very true- but that wasn't the question. Nor was "and do you think we shoud focus more on the issue of corn syrup rather than the terrorist threat?" which is the ladder of inference that the OP and others are climbing around here.
