Lack of oversight blamed for fraudulent voter registration applications :: Lake County :: Post-Tribune (http://tinyurl.com/3ht2eo - broken link)

Lake County election workers discovered dozens of ACORN-delivered registration forms they believe contain inaccurate voter information, including one in which a dead man from Gary was listed as the applicant. None of those applications was processed.

Just because one of the right-wing noise machine's recent talking points is to tie Obama to ACORN doesnt mean you have to follow slavishly along. Look up the facts, and the dates of his association with them, at some reliable source.

This ACORN stuff is just a distraction, arent you insulted?

Starting with the Bush/Cheney 2000 campaign.

While your comment is valid, it misses an important aspect. The GOP voter fraud tactics are real and successful in eliminating actual votes. E.g., Florida and Ohio purging their voter rolls of poor voters (reliably Democratic voters), shorting certain districts of machines (again in crowded city districts), etc. The silly things that people point to on the Dem side are just small-time frauds - not tied to actual votes. Some people who are paid to collect registrations are detected as they submit invalid forms. Even if those invalid forms are not caught, they don't result in actual votes.

The scale of voter fraud is significantly different.

By the way, posts on this thread qualify for the ACORN Challenge. Bashing ACORN will earn them money!

Go for it!

Democrats are picking up homeless people in neighboring states and busing them into Ohio to vote! You don't think that is voter fraud? There are also reports of these democrats offeing goods and services in exchange for their votes. This is a felony, I hope these liberal whack jobs get busted. I guess I'll pass on my NC vote and make a drive to Ohio on Nov. 4tth. What a joke!

And you know this how? If you know this, why have they not been caught and prosecuted? Sounds like the typical urban myth we have been hearing from the right for decades.
