CAMPAIGN 2008
NEWSWEEK Poll, Oct. 10, 2008

Newsweek Poll - Obama +11 - 52 to 41

Governor Palin certainly continues to reflect poorly on Senator McCain coupled with the Economic news and poor debate performances. Senator Obama continues to climb hitting 52%. Excellent news for the Senator's supporters.

Here is what people dont realize in the Gallop poll:

October 10, 2000 - Gore and Bush were tied in the Gallop poll

October 10, 2004 - Kerry led Bush by 1 point in the Gallop poll

October 10, 2008 - Obama leads McCain by 11 points in the Gallop poll

Since the elections of 2000 and 2004, the repubs won by hair thin margins, its clear this year is going to have a very different outcome

What are these "poll" results from? No one has ever polled me as to whom I will vote for; and I've been voting for over 40 years!

Heard on one of the news shows last night (my first mistake was watching in the first place). . . that "it's all over, already decided", etc., etc. Well, gee, then let's just cancel the entire Nov. 4th voting session and let the media declare our new President! How much money are the candidates paying these stations to declare who is ahead in the race?

The polls have been pretty accurate in 2000 and 2004 so I suspect 2008 will be no different. And those who say the Bradley effect could change things, keep it mind throughout the primary, we saw no Bradley effect. The polls were accurate and Hillary won the states she was projected to win just as Obama won the states he was projected to win. For this reason McCain is in trouble because Obama leads in enough states to win the election and with less than a month to go til election day, things arent likely to change unless a foreign event happens and takes over the news. (terrorists, Iraq, Iran,Russia)

Are you guys still naive about posting polls?

If they found at least ONE GUY who was registered 70 TIMES....don't you think they're doing the same thing with the polls?

The Campaign Spot on National Review Online

Quote:
You have McCain winning Republicans, 89 to 7. You have Obama winning Democrats, 91 to 5. (I'm a bit skeptical, but for now, for the sake of argument, I'll accept your assertion that PUMAs are extinct.) You have McCain winning independents by 2 percent, 45 to 43.

And this adds up to an 11-percent Obama lead in your latest poll.
Oh, too funny. This is even funnier; Those are percentages, btw. A little bit oversampling of democrats I'd say. 13% to be exact. LOL
