I'm starting to think that all these "angered" citizens are just plants by the GOP to incite a race war of some kind. Sad.

For a second, McCain had a look on his face like he thought they might want to lynch him.

Nah, but a lot of people who can go to a rally during the day are unemployed and looking for a scapegoat. That guy probably didn't even know what the word "socialist" means.

There's a book, Nixonland, that illustrates the shift of virtually all of these people's allegiance from the Democratic to the Republican Party, why that was attempted and how it was achieved.

It's kind of funny to see them implode as they realize they're losing this election, and it's not close enough to steal!

Eh - when Clinton won his first term, I heard Republicans scream the world was ending, the sky was falling, Clinton's a murderer, etc. I guess they got over it and spent the next 8 years calling Rush Limbaugh to bi$@h on the air. They'll do the same thing this time.

I think this group sees itself as helpless, adminstration in and administration out. So they're easy pickin's.

You are quite right. It is common knowledge that often the people who put forth questions of this nature are plants put in place to give the impression that these are the issues the people really care about. It's a very old game being played by an old pro. But his age is showing, and he just can't keep up with his own games. Time is starting to tell on McCain, and the story it is relaying is one of growing weakness and desperation. If only the Repubs would have picked a better candidate to bid for the top spot in America. I guess going with the governments choice instead of the people's choice was a bad decision.

Open Letter to John McCain from Frank Schaeffer

Senator John McCain: If your campaign does not stop equating Sen. Barack Obama with terrorism, questioning his patriotism and portraying Mr. Obama as "not one of us," I accuse you of deliberately feeding the most unhinged elements of our society the red meat of hate, and therefore of potentially instigating violence.
