LAKEVILLE, Minn. - The anger is getting raw at Republican rallies and John McCain is acting to tamp it down.

McCain was booed by his own supporters Friday when, in an abrupt switch from raising questions about Barack Obama's character, he described the Democrat as a "decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared of as president of the United States."

Yahoo News article (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081010/ap_on_el_pr/mccain_angry_crowds - broken link)

This is not funny------------and, I am no supporter of McCain anymore.

3 weeks ago Obama supporters were "passionate" when they were demanding Obama take the fight to McCain. Now McCain and his supporters are angry and raging when they do it.

He's got a lot more love than McCain does, absent Palin.

And there's a difference. Obama's supporters were asking him to stand up against the smear tactics of the right. McCain supporters are yelling "Kill him".

Tell me you can't see the difference.

I'm with you. I was pretty shook when he didn't come out swinging at the first debate about the economy. From then on, it was just screw-up after screw-up. Now, I don't know if he's competent to be president.

Don't fear Obama? What a flipping idiot.

Prior to McCain and Obama picking their running mates: I was leaning towards McCain. When Obama selected Biden; I went 'Oh S**t', scratch the Dems------------but, when Palin received the nod-----------that swung me away from McCain.

I'm a fan of the Palin move... which the McCain campaign so severely mishandled.

She's white trash, obviously. Pregnant daughter, sister married to scum, but it was an excellent political move. What else is politics but accepting the least of evils?

Well, I heard on Fox today that the last time there was a Dem Pres/Dem Congress, surprising good things, like the 401(k) were enacted. And who knows? Maybe black folks will get their 40 acres and a mule and we can start living happily ever after.
