Business people who have the drive an intelligence to start their own business, are smart enough to raise the price on all of their goods and services to offset the higher taxes dumped on the business.
So who is really paying higher taxes..? The less fortunate who think they are getting a break... The tax idea of BO's is designed to fail.....
Like Senator Fred Thompson said in his speech, .."You can't take water out of only half of the bucket..!"

Let's give more tax incentives to the multi million earners. Let's reward the fat cats who have destroyed the American economy with more tax incentives and breaks. Let's keep the same tax plans that Bush has had and destroy middle America. McCain has said he wants to shake up Washington and make the fat cats and big companies more accountable. Maybe his plan of giving the rich tax breaks and giving the middle classes the same tax breaks is going to shake anyone up? The rich poor divide has become a chasm and it must now be bridged. Obama will penalise big companies who exploit America and he will penalise big companies who move abroad to use slave labour. McCain has not got one plan that will bring the exploiters to book. He will keep the status quo in Washington. He will tax everyone with hidden taxes, eg taxing health care. In fact McCain will only benefit the rich and say he is being fair to all. How can a man who has never had to scrimp and save EVER, think he knows how to help the lower earners in America. He will tell America that WAR is GOOD and NEGOTIATING PEACE is Bad.

No one likes to pay more taxes, but someone has to.

Rasmussen Reports™: The most comprehensive public opinion coverage ever provided for a presidential election.
That means 53% of Americans will vote for McCain, while the Communists will their hearts out when the Comrade Obama loses on a 53%-47% for McCain!

Good enough for me!

Hold a sec, though. If you read this article in its entirety, there is one very telling quote:

"Given the bad economic news of the last several weeks, voters are fairly evenly divided on what is best to help the economy, cutting taxes or getting the government more involved. Forty-four percent (44%) like more government; 41% prefer cutting taxes. The rest are undecided."

There it is: free markets vs Stalinism. It's really close right now. And I keep saying this, but the Democrats have an end game here: Remove a majority of voters from responsibility for income taxes This is the biggie, and they've made no attempt to hide their goals here. The Democrats have been working on this plan for decades, with no small amount of help from the cowardly Republicans. The idea is simple. Using "refundable" tax credits and deductions and such ideas as the fraudulent Earned Income Tax Credit the Democrats are working to shift the entire burden for the payment of federal income taxes onto a minority of US taxpayers. Right now the top 50 percent of taxpayers pay almost 96 percent of the taxes. The Democrats are close to their goal. When the majority of voters have no federal income tax liability it will be almost impossible to pass any meaningful tax cuts, and further tax increases will be a piece of cake, especially if the taxes only affect those to be considered to be rich.

Voting themselves MORE money?

How about voting to let the government have less of our money? You have more disposable income, you have more to put towards the government.

Of course, we could completely disband government--I'd actually prefer that.

With the economy the way it is, Obama's plan to place more troops in Afghanistan (thus negating any savings from a possible withdrawl from Iraq), his health care subsidies, and college subsidies, how can anyone realistically expect taxes will be cut for "95% of the population"?

Many politicians in the past have promised the world, but didn't deliver. I think many Obama supporters will be bitterly disappointed over the difference between what he proposed on the campaign and what he will be able to do.

exactly, he is so radical. i don't even think his own party will support 90% of his ideas. looks good on paper, but isn't realistic.
