Why are people all over Joe the plumber? Did he do anything wrong, no. He just asked a question and got the answer....Obama stated that he will decide who gets the money Obama is taking from people who work hard...that is the issue...not who Joe the plumber is and what he owes.....

Obama the socialist is what matters.

I'm all for charity and helping people less fortunate out, I think it's the right thing to do and if someone is blessed to be wealthy they should help others.

However, I don't believe the Government should force that, let people choose those they want to help, and choose the charities they want to donate to. Don't tax certain people more just because they make more. And also where do you draw the line? What's to say that a year from now if elected Nobama won't say OK we have to tax those who make over 150k more, two years from now we have to tax those who make over 90k more.

If Nobama wants to spread the wealth how about instead of spending a million dollars on an infomercial he takes that money and helps a worthy charity. Of course he won't do that, he'd rather see himself on TV more as if we haven't seen enough of him already, and buy his way into the White House.

The government already "forces" that.

As to the OP: I have no problem at all with what Obama said.

The insane Left, the media and the obama campaign think that in order to blunt the damage of "spreading the wealth" comment, they must bring down JTP, destroy his credibility, his life, dig up every bit of dirt.

Can we all admit how vile the dem party has become?

Vile?

McCain made another blunder. A big blunder! It's interesting to note that Joe The Plumber owes the state of Ohio around $1600 or so in BACK TAXES. Hmmmmmm!

Don't you think McCain should have investigated Joe The Plumber? He investigated Joe The Plumber just liked he investigated Sarah Palin. Way to go!!!

The reward for working hard should be wealth--or at least, comfort. The reward for NOT working should NOT be a government hand-out--and that's exactly what Obama is proposing.
Those who work their butts off and take the risks will have to give a portion of their rewards to those who didn't work or take a risk. Screw that!
Why would anyone work if someone is going to GIVE them their livelihood? We'll be a nation of slackers, until the money runs out!

It should be.

But when are things ever 100% even in that way? An exhausted waitress might work two shifts a day for a total of, I don't know, 12 hours, literally on her feet, then come home and throw dinner into her kids and clean her house...yet make hundreds of thousands of dollars less than someone who "works hard" sitting at a desk.

What's your definition of "working hard"?

Since when do people get rich when/because they work hard? When did that become a rule? It would be awesome if it were always true, but it isn't.

Does every person who starts a business "work his butt off" to get there? The last two employers (company owners) I had were literally born into their million-dollar businesses. Their parents gave them the companies.

But they should be "rewarded for working hard"? And the common person working a shift or two, or three, and making very little money and possibly not even having health care, shouldn't be "rewarded" because why? They're obviously not working hard, since if they were, they'd be rich?

Hello?
