did he associate with known terrorists? did he make any career path decisions in the living room of known terrorists? does he have a cousin who is waging genocide in kenya against all christians?
If sitting on an education board with Bill Ayers means you are associating with a terrorist, then you need to arrest the Republican billionaire Annenberg and a host of other Republican high society denizens of Chicago who worked with Ayers and Obama in that same board.

And what does Obama's cousin's actions have anything to do with Obama? Are you even a conservative? Don't conservatives tout the mantra of "personal responsibility"? Barack Obama can only be held accountable for his own actions, not that of his cousin's.

I remember posting something I saw on the net about some Israeli generals supposedly endorsed Obama. It didn't take long for some of the same people here to come out and denounced it. So I started thinking maybe some of the rightwing posters are actually Israeli rightwing people. Seriously, If you are an American, why do you care about what some people in Israel think about this election? Unless you are Israeli rightwing extremists trying stir up troubles here. Think about it for a moment folks. Think about all the Muslim and terrorist scare posts that pop up every hour here.

Anyway, that soldier was a fine American.

Probably like African Americans felt in WWII when they were fighting for freedom in Europe and didnt have it at home. Or how Japanese Americans felt if they were fighting in Europe and their families were in internment camps.

History repeats.

Or how gays feel when their service and sacrifices for the country they love is discounted.
Or women, who are still struggling to serve without prejudice.

Considering the mess that mortgage brokers have gotten this country into they might be considered economic terrorists.

That is sadly very true. Why this need to always label all people with group labels so that you can hate them without ever meeting or knowing them? Are we all so intellectually lazy that we just can't be bothered to think things through logically before we jump to conclusions? Or is there just a need in insecure people to always have someone upon whom they can place their boot? There is a saying that if we fail to learn from history we are doomed to repeat it. But it seems that people can't even learn from the present, let alone history. It has to be reduced to the lowest common denominator and placed on a bumper sticker before some people will call it wisdom. Heaven help us all.

Our great country has a history of labeling groups of people and treating them as 'less American' than 'real Americans'. The white, Catholic Irish were also part of that 'less American' group at one time. I have visited other countries and, IMHO, we are one of the least tolerant countries I have lived in or visited.

OP, great post!
