This isn't a troll thread, I know many people are going to throw that out there - but in all honestly all this talk about Colin Powell endorsing Barack Obama is getting annoying. Many people have endorsed Obama and many people have endorsed McCain. What makes his so special? Because he was in the Bush admin? How many people has Powell endorsed that are inexperienced? None before, he just did so Obama.

Is anyone getting tired of hearing about it as I am?

More so to be fair and create a balanced poll - do you really care about his endorsement? Does it mean anything to you that he endorsed Obama?

you're getting tired of it because its an endorsement for the candidate you oppose coming from a high ranking republican.

His endorsement sounds like a few things;

1.) Sour grapes towards the Bush administration

2.) Black Power, basically if he scratches Nobama's back Nobama will scratch his.

3.) The Nobama camp probably making him promises behind closed doors, and the Nobama campaign more than likely telling Powell what to say in terms of the endorsement.

If it was a race thing, he would have picked Obama months ago.

I don't think any Republican thinks Powell is really a Republican. I lost some respect for him several years ago so this has nothing to do with that, but it puts the icing on the cake for me. He is definitely nothing like the person I thought he was.

If Powell had endorsed McCain, Republicans would be raving about how prominent and admirable and respectable and wonderful he is, and how he made the "obvious" choice in backing McCain.

However, since he endorsed the "other side" it is suddenly only because he's black or because he's bitter about his experience within the Bush administration or because he's not a real Republican, and after two days, they're already sick of hearing about it.

Are you new to politics?
