Send Sherman back into Georgia. It worked the first time.

I really thought the polls would tighten but even the battleground poll is moving Obama beyond a margin of error. What do you think is going wrong for McCain the last couple of days?

The real problem for Republicans in Georgia is not McCain/Obama but Chambliss/Martin. A very nice situation is setting up where Martin and Chambliss are in a runoff for the seat that could give the Democrats 60. That would be a crazy month.

Georgia is trending bluer. Much like NC. Atlanta is starting to exert itself much to the chagrin of the rural rednecks.

My two sisters and their husband (both southern republicans) living in Georgia have always voted republican and they're all voting for Obama.

Strange as it may seem, it could be Bachmann and the Palin splurge on clothes. The Biden comment doesn't seem to have had any effect on the polls.

Inevitability. At some point, no news becomes good news. Senator McCain is fast approaching or has reached the no news is good news summit. Early voting has sucked the tide out and the seven day marker is fast approaching. The event has happened for this election. Any future events that allow Senator Obama to present himself as calm is a reinforcement of the current image. Internal polling may show something unavailable to the masses in terms of short term strategy; however, Common Sense and the prevailing winds are moving in one direction towards one action, a citizen stepping into the booth and out for the next...the people will see their demands met, this is the manner in which we started, thus we begin anew - dialectics. circa Paine 1737

I don't know about a toss up, but to show that Obama even has a small chance is interesting.
The state as a whole, outside of ATL and Athens, is too racist, to put Obama over the top.

Black people in GA will come out in droves to vote for Obama, but it still won't be enough to put him over the top.

Uh huh...Black folks are not the only folks voting for Senator Obama, how presumptuous of you.
