Study: Media Pro-Obama by 2 to 1

Wednesday, October 22, 2008 11:36 PM

NEW YORK — The coverage of John McCain’s campaign has been overwhelmingly negative since the conventions ended, a study released Wednesday found.

Even as it found more than half of the stories about McCain were negative — compared to just over 36 percent for Democrat Barack Obama — the Project for Excellence in Journalism said its findings of a bias against the Republican were inconclusive.

“It's quite possible for there to be elements of enthusiasm for one candidate or another," said Tom Rosenstiel, director of the Washington-based think tank, told Fox News. “That's a failure of professionalism if it's there. But this report can't suss it out."

Why wouldn't they be? Being objective is not the same thing as being blind and stupid.

Is this the same pro-Democrat media who has helped the Dems win the presidency the past 8 years and helped us win the Congress all those years that we were the minority? Oh, guess its a new love of the Democrats then. Or more likely its all in your head. Remember who owns the corporate media.. We can't help it if reporters have to report the idiocies and hypocrisy of the McCain/Palin campaign. Sorry if there isn't similar fodder with Obama, but trust me they're all about profits so they would have been reporting if there is anything. Stop the wah wah paranoia. Teams losing and its all the media's fault! Well what about the past 8 years..whose fault was that??

The media is very pro-Obama. Even though I am voting for McCain, I don't think it takes too many brain cells to see this.

My thoughts are that the media is pro-Obama, but you need to ask yourselves "WHY?" Don't you suppose that college educated, intelligent people that investigate, interview, and gather information all day would know a little something?

Newsmax. I guess that settles it. Who did they ask, Bernie Goldberg?

Actually, the media should be liberal rather than "objective" or "balanced." The problem is that they are not liberal. That's a subject for another post.

Absolutely pro-Obama-by more than 2-1. Even the Washington Post admitted it a few months ago.

I think the only reason the media seems to be pro Obama is because they are constantly forced to fact check McCain and Palin lies, slander and fear mongering...If the Republicans ran honest campaign then it would be balanced.

McCain camp hits below the belt.
News reports McCain camp hits below the belt.
Therefore news equal pro-Obama???!!!

You get negative press because you do negative things
You get more negative press because your campaign does more negative things.

Stop blaming the messengers instead of looking inward at all the wrong you have done. McCain camp, you have 11 more days to do get back some of your dignity.
