Names dont matter. When money is returned it's reversed back to the bank account via the credit card number.

wow, this thread was the most dumbest thread on this board, and that is one hell of a hard thing to do.

I don't think you do.
I once mistyped my name and it didn't go through for a purchase.
You do understand that it most certainly will if the website has turned off the part of the software that checks for names and addresses, which is what they do. I know this for a fact because I tried it at their website and ened up giving a $1.00 donation to Obama and McCain's site did not accept my weird name and address.

Next time you want to post about something be sure you know what you are talking about.

It is not and does not happen from Obama's website. The way they have it set up is that they can accept any and all payments as long as the credit card number is a good number.

Where does it say the money is being returned, other than the cases of fraud? On the contrary, they are accepting multiple donations from the same people, without verification that those people are not contributing more than the legal limit.

Fraud Found in Obama Finance Records - CA Political News by Stephen Frank (http://capoliticalnews.com/s/spip.php?article955 - broken link)

Fraud Found in Obama Finance Records

Monday 13 October 2008, by admin

When the new York Times writes about fraud in the donation plate of Barack Obama, you know it has to be bad.

From phony Internet "donations", to people without real names or addresses, to direct illegal donations from citizens of other nations, the Obama campaign is riddled with fraud and corruption—remember the money given to ACORN for phony voter registrations---and the felons in Florida they are registering to vote.

FUNNY MONEY
An auditor for the Federal Election Commission is attempting to have his bosses seek a formal investigation into the collection by the Obama for President campaign of more than $200 million in potentially illegal political donations, including millions of dollars of illegal, foreign donations, and has sought a request for assistance from the Department of Justice or Federal Bureau of Investigation. But the analyst's requests have largely been ignored. "I can't get anyone to move. I believe we are looking at a hijacking of our political system that makes the Clinton and Gore fundraising scandals pale in comparison. And no one here wants to touch it."

Fictitious Donors Found in Obama Finance Records

Last December, someone using the name “Test Person,” from “Some Place, UT,” made a series of contributions, the largest being $764, to Senator Barack Obama’s presidential campaign totaling $2,410.07.

Someone identifying himself as “Jockim Alberton,” from 1581 Leroy Avenue in Wilmington, Del., began giving to Mr. Obama last November, contributing $10 and $25 at a time for a total of $445 through the end of February.
The only problem? There is no Leroy Avenue in Wilmington. And Jockim Alberton, who listed his employer and occupation as “Fdsa Fdsa,” does not show up in a search of public records.

An analysis of campaign finance records by The New York Times this week found nearly 3,000 donations to Mr. Obama, the Democratic nominee, from more than a dozen people with apparently fictitious donor information. The contributions represent a tiny fraction of the record $450 million Mr. Obama has raised. But the questionable donations — some donors were listed simply with gibberish for their names — raise concerns about whether the Obama campaign is adequately vetting its unprecedented flood of donors.

It is unclear why someone making a political donation would want to enter a false name. Some perhaps did it for privacy reasons. Another, more ominous possibility, of course, is fraud, perhaps in order to donate beyond the maximum limits.
