Obama has sided with business over people twice at least. FISA and the bailout. And Nader called him on it. He's not known for being tactful. It's up to Obama. He can be an Uncle Sam, or an Uncle Tom. Time will tell.
Nader is being consistent. He's simply asking if Obama is going to go with the corporations or with the people. Obama made an awful lot of promises -- but we'll soon see which way he goes. I want my tax cut.
Reporters and everyone called Clarence Thomas an Uncle Tom. No problem.
Be specific. Better yet post video footage. Of bona-fide reporters and politicians that did this. I'm not saying it did not happen; I would just like to see your examples. (and Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton do not fit the aforementioned criteria, sorry)
I think you can make your point about corporatism without resorting to a racial epithet- against white, black or whatever. I agree with Nader about the undue influence of corporations in the political system...but his point is cheapened with the insulting Uncle Tom comment. I don't respect Nader as a person much, anyway, though.
