I wouldn't be surprised to see Biden have a health scare and decide to step down.

And we think we came so far electing a black man . Hopefully this election will mean the splintering of the far religious right so we can move into the 21st century and see what other qualified candidates have to offer regardless of their religion.

Honestly I havent heard any new ideas from him But I think the republicans realize they are going to need a "super star" minority on the ticket to compete with Obama. They need to peel away some of the minority voters from Obama. More Asians and Hispanics would vote fo the republican ticket than they did this year if Jindal was on the ticket.

Well, the Western votes continue to trickle in. Right now, Obama leads 52.7% to McCain's 46% and McCain's keeps dropping. Obama is up by 8.3 million votes now in the popular vote. I remember back in 2004, the Republicans were calling it a mandate for Bush when he won by......3%.

At least Jindal has "Indian smarts" and isn't just a good speaker with a compelling story who got an affirmative action ride to college.

Bobby Jindal's personal story is just as amazing as Obama's. If Obama is smart, Jindal is really smart. He's a first generation Indian who sounds just like his electorate - like the bayou. He doesn't have a generic "God" voice like Obama or Morgan Freeman.
Jindal is a very smart guy. He also timed his political run perfectly in a post-Katrina/anti-Blanco Louisiana.

If Jindal is the GOP nominee, Obama wins in another landslide.

At least half of Republicans nationwide will stay home on election day, because they would never vote for someone who "looks Muslim".

you might ought to be careful what you wish for. Gingrich is going to be a player but he has carefully been laying out a plan that just might make him the favorite of a wide coalition of voters.

the guy is brilliant and a tactical genius.

He may be too polorizing now. Democrats did a good job of making him seem so in the past, but 4 years is a lot of time to rehab a reputation. Newt is working on doing just that.
