Is there an allegation (I know Maddow has a hard time getting that straight)

that you would like to bring to the US attorney general?

Who would have jurisdiction over that?

I saw her while channel surfing the news networks. She may be better than Keith Oberfeuhrer, or maybe not. If she's on after him I kinda doubt she's given to original thought and open to diverse views, which is pretty ironic. Then again, I guess it isn't. MSNBC isn't known for journalistic integrity anymore so I kept going.
So is this a cheap stunt by MSNBC or does she have any real creds?

She has real creds. She's insanely smart, a Rhodes Scholar, is writing a book about Iraq I believe...she really knows her stuff and asks tough questions without offending the other side. Russert had that. She has the respect of Pat Buchanan and that's no small feat since they are total political opposites! I think she has a really bright future. She definitely states her opinions but I've seen her in a lot of roundtables during the campaign and she discusses diverse views without attacking (if only the attackers in this thread could try the same).

Who cares if she's manly? She says that herself. I couldn't care less about her sexual orientation or her appearance.

Icy Tea, maybe YOU should be open to diverse views?

She and Pat Buchanan have fun ...

Upon further investigation, I don't think it was Rachel Maddow who made the mistake, it was some stupid intern who was obviously not from the midwest ... and also .. this is from almost a month BEFORE the election.

I'm sure Ms. Maddow knows where Indiana is now, especially after we delivered Obama!

Besides the fact that she is very, very, bright, she is also refreshing to look at, from a woman's perspective. She actually looks like a real person who wants to be recognized for her wit and intellect rather than how she looks in a short skirt.

She is in direct contrast with the many overly made-up FOX bimbos with hair extensions and fake Angelina Jolie lips who will be pulled from the air when they turn 45, or so, because they are no longer eye candy.

I give her credit for her authenticity in a field that is wrought with sexism.

She's an idiot alright. She barked at Palin, accusing her of not knowing that fruit flies are used in medical research, when Palin correctly agreed with CAGW that it was nothing more than a pork barrel earmark. Genius Maddow doesn't know that the project she was talking about was being carried out by the USDA in France to help control (Bactrocera oleae) for the benefit of wealthy farmers in Napa Valley where they make olive oil. It's corporate welfare and nothing else. The fruit flies used for medical research are (Drosophila melanogaster) a completely different species of fruit fly. And since when does the USDA perform medical research?

"A conservative fiscal watchdog group recently gave Rep. Mike Thompson, D-St. Helena, the “French Kiss Off Award” for sending $211,000 to France to study an agricultural pest.
The mock honor came from Washington, D.C.-based Citizens Against Government Waste, which publishes an annual compendium of what the group considers pork barrel legislation."

"Rep. Thompson vigorously defended the earmark, which went to fight the grapevine-devastating Pierce’s Disease, olive pests and Sudden Oak Death, among other purposes."

Does anyone remember seeing any of this in the news? No, of course not. The mainstream liberal media were all too busy accusing Palin of not knowing that fruit flies are used for medical research and by attacking the research earmark, Palin was opposing research to cure Autism. Facts be damned!
