16. Economics. McCain was quoted as saying he was poor in economics, and given the bad economy he should have chosen a VP candidate that balanced his weakness in economics. Obama was told he did not have enough experience or foreign policy experience and this was balanced with the selection of Biden.

Intelligence hasn't been a pre-requisite in politics. Minimum requirement is to be just a tad smarter than the supporters/voters. Palin just happens to be an outstanding example, representing her people.

Yep, we figgered that out in a hurry thanks to her TV interviews with Charles Gibson and Katie Couric; these started eroding the support, then the poor handling of the economic issues started a major downhill slide.

It still amazes me. Katie Couric. She couldn't handle an interview with Katie Couric. She got taken down by a little marshmallow fluff of a journalist. She wanted a job where she might have to handle negotiations with Putin, but she couldn't handle Katie Couric.

There were a few reasons why Obama won......first off, he's definitely street smart....his "change" slogan brainwashed so many into falsely believing that he would actually create it. He fed upon the American people's desire for something new, something better and the sad part is.....he got away with it. Sad. Secondly, he's not of the white race....he definitely had an edge with that one. Thirdly, again, he's definitely a better ass kisser than McCain....I have to give it to him; he could sell **** to a farmer .

It's funny to hear all of the Palin bashing.....she's stupid, she's not experienced enough, she's too human.....wow...well, I found her humanness to be the refreshing and promising change we need in Washington. How experienced is Obama again?? Still, to this day, haven't heard anything convincing on that one. Not anything positive anyway.

McCain and Palin were not your typical candidates.....they didn't prey on Americans by sweet talking and promising their way to the top.

"To be persuasive we must be believable; to be believable we must be credible; credible we must be truthful" - Ed R Murrow

Obama earned what he deserved. McCain tried to portray change too, you probably couldn't keep up with their rhetoric much less avoid from buying into their lies and pandering. May be, that was quite "Mavericky"... the "reformers" forgot that the "change" they were trying to spell to the simpletons who would buy it, simply didn't work with majority of the voters... the kind of politics they played, easily dates back to Joe McCarthy days... that was a change alright.
