I think you're overdoing the drugs. He "may" be the immediate front runner, but that's like being the captain on a ship that's taking on water fast. How many of the "family values" crowd is going to be for a guy who admitted he cheated on his wife?

Romney would have no use for a VP spot with Newt. Not sure about Jindal, he may be that opportunistic, but most of the R posters on here keep assuring us that he's pretty darn smart.

I could see Newt doing well with the rabid mouth breathers, but he'll have to fight Palin for that wing of the party. If he won the nomination I could see him winning a solid 44% +/- in the general.

Newt, Jindal, Palin, Joe, Mitt, Rush, Pawlenty, etc., etc.

Pick any two, in any order, and the GOP are still a bunch of losers in 2012.

I don't know if Newt can overcome the story about his wife and their divorce, however I am certain he would run a much better campaign than McCain.

It amazes me that the republicans have had so much trouble finding someone to run who managed to keep their marriage vows sacred.

Newt served his wife with divorce papers while she was in the recovery room after cancer surgery. That should make him a shoo-in among the Family Values crowd.

That single act would disqualify anyone from either party from ever representing me in any capacity for any reason.
