Big Eddie is not afraid to say what he thinks and you can be sure, much like Keith and Rachel, he will expose the lies and right wing propaganda coming from Faux News.

Veteran talk radio host Ed Schultz joins MSNBC as host of "The Ed Show," premiering on Monday, April 6. "The Ed Show" will air weekdays, 6-7 p.m. ET. The announcement was made today by Phil Griffin, President, MSNBC.
"I am thrilled to have Ed kicking-off our primetime lineup," said Griffin. "Ed's proven that he can connect with Americans and will be a perfect compliment to Chris, Keith, and Rachel. He's already made his mark on radio and I'm excited to see what he'll do with the 6 p.m. hour."

So has MSNBC finally become the equivalent of Fox on the left? Both networks are off-putting to me.

My favorite is Olbermann, but the ratings look okay to me...

Quote:
For March: "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" (#2 in the hour) is up 22% in the demo and up 30% in Total Viewers year-over-year. "The Rachel Maddow Show," in its seventh month, again topped CNN's "Larry King Live" in the demo, but was edged out by King in Total Viewers. "Maddow" is up 98% in Total Viewers and up 70% in the demo compared to the time slot's prior program, "Verdict with Dan Abrams."

And for the first time in more than 7 1/2 years, MSNBC's morning show beat CNN's in the demo. "Morning Joe" edged CNN's "American Morning." "A.M." still wins in Total Viewers. The last time MSNBC beat CNN in the mornings was August 2001, when Imus in the Morning occupied the 6am-10amET slot. For the quarter: in total day, MSNBC finished up 10% in the demo (180,000 vs. 163,000) and up 19% in Total Viewers (473,000 vs. 396,000).

FOX News Channel (FNC: undefined, undefined, undefined%) expanded its ratings dominance among its cable news competition in all categories during the first quarter (Q1) of 2009, beating CNN and MSNBC combined in viewership according to Nielsen Media Research. Marked by President Obama's first months in office and an escalating economic crisis, Q1 2009 was FNC's third highest rated quarter in prime time in the network's history - behind Q4 2008 (Presidential election) and Q3 2005 (Hurricane Katrina). Among all basic cable channels, FNC ranked second for the quarter in prime time viewership, with CNN and MSNBC lagging behind at 17th and 24th, respectively.
Yea I guess.

In prime time, FNC bested CNN and MSNBC combined with an average of 2,250,000 viewers (up 24%) during Q1 2009,

In a sign of just how dominant Fox News is in the cable news network ratings game, the network easily won the rankings in the first quarter of 2009, averaging more viewers than competitors MSNBC and CNN combined — and in the process claimed nine of the top the program spots.
For the quarter, Fox News was the #2 cable channel in prime time, averaging 2,250,000 total viewers (behind only the USA juggernaut, which averaged 3,115,000 total viewers). CNN placed 17th with an average of 1,126,000 total viewers, while MSNBC placed 24th, with an average of 950,000 total viewers.

I believe we've been over this before...Faux News leads in the ratings because they appeal almost exclusively to Republicans. All the right wingers go over to Faux, while the rest of the political spectrum splits themselves among the other channels.

It is okay I know it is hard to deal in a fact based reality.

I just gave you the facts...facts that you cannot refute. I can understand how the rise of Olbermann and MSNBC has been a real thorn in the side of a Faux News' worshiper such as yourself. You prefer to be told what to think, I don't.

BTW, American Idol and Dancing with the Stars are highly rated too...do you watch them as well?
