I can understand that. I don't like Pelosi either.
Ken
There's just "something" about her. I think that she panders too much for one. I think that President Obama has the best interests of the country at heart, even if I disagree with some of his policies.
I also disagreed with a LOT of "Dubya's" policies.

Reps to you LordBalfor.
Thanks.
Yeah, I thinks she panders too - but more than that, I think she's too combative and partisan. Regardless of whether or not I agree with her political views, the fact is, folks like her are a big part of the problem in Washington. Clearly I don't want to see her replaced by a Republican (LOL) - at least not right now - but in all seriousness, I'd sure like to see her replaced by a DIFFERENT Democrat - someone a bit more willing to "reach across the aisle". She is just NOT a good choice for Speaker in my opinion (or even for Congress at all) - and I also think she puts her own ego ahead of her party's interests (not to mention those of the country as a whole - very much UNLIKE Obama).
All Americans should feel they can trust their president, and after his actions regarding the Somali Pirate hostage debacle and his rebuking Barney Frank on some defense issues I felt better. However, one issue, that is not good, was his appointment of Rosa Brooks, Los Angeles Times Journalist and an anti American to the position of adviser to the Under Secretary of Defense. Thus, he has given access to the Pentagon to a known hater of America and it's military. This is a stupid move, the President needs to ditch the far leftwing nuts of his cabinet and stop listening to the kind of advice that will only cause him to lose allies in congress in upcoming 2010 elections. Don't think it can happen? Go back to 1994, Clinton saw it happen to him with the loss of the House of Representatives after some hair brained moves on his part.
Why would a poll showing Obama, a man who was just elected, having the "nations" trust be surprising? Its his to lose, not the need to gain.. If he didnt have it, he wouldnt have been elected..
Um, doesnt the left run around proclaiming that Obama was just elected and he needs time to fix this and that? Sure thats the truth so why would a poll showing Obama, a man who was just elected, not have the "nations" trust? Its his to lose, not the need to gain..
Seriously. If President Obama, 3 months in, didn't have the "nations trust" then what sort of s--t storm would we be in? He supposedly was a hugely popular candidate. What else would this say?
Is it not alarming at all to you though, blacknight, that 31% trust him, while 31% don't? I don't know if a poll like this can be found for President Bush at this time in his presidency, but I highly doubt it would be worse than this one for ANY situation you could find.

Who said it was "surprising"?
No need to remind me the nation trusts him.
It's your Obamabashing Rightwing buddies on this board that need to hear it.
Us folks that voted him in know full well he has the nations's trust.

Very good points. I don't trust anyone who is a lawyer or a politician, which means that I do not trust, nor ever trusted any President. They all lie and they will all lie in the future. Just the way of the political animal.

Very well put. A rep to you. Pelosi loves herself much more than she does our country and she hates, yes...HATES, Republicans so bad that it wouldn't matter to her if something were bad for the country if she thought it would hurt the Republicans she would be all for it.
