Seems like "5 de Mayo" is more American than Mexican.
Really? Seems like it is as popular there as it is here (Las Cruces, NM).

Cinco de Mayo, San Antonio Style

Looks like a lot of fun

In Vermont, Bennington Battle Day is a state holiday and it didn't even happen in the state. School is closed for Pulaski Day in Chicago and he never even visited the state.

So why did he celebrate Easter? He wants the Easter Bunny's vote?

Why will he celebrate Christmas?

Yeah, he STOLE that Easter Bunny vote right out from under the nose of those clueless Republicans.
The Republicans were caught off guard. They simply didn't think of the fact that Easter Bunnies reproduce like rabbits - and they are ALL going to be FUTURE VOTERS. They are going to change US demographics in a BIG WAY.

LOL

Ken

We celebrated Cinco de Mayo at my office today--all of us. There are almost no Mexicans on our staff, but it is a celebration of diversity and of the Mexican and Spanish heritage of Texas. Almost every place in our town had some sort of celebration.

I agree!

Cinco de Mayo? reason to celebrate hispanics & to drink and eat!

Oktoberfest? reason to celebrate Germans, beer and bratwurst!

St. Patrick's Day? well we know it's supposed to be a religious holiday paying homage to the patron Saint of Ireland but we know it's an excuse to get drunk!

let's enjoy our different cultures!

Believe it or not Cinco de Mayo is not that important in Mexico.

It's celebrated more often in the U.S. It's like the holiday took another meaning than it had originally.

Why would an acting US president celebrate the day of Mexico's defense against an invading French Army?

Should we expect him to eat crepes in July to celebrate Bastille Day?

Should she sip vodka in February to honor Red Army Day?

How about some good ole' maple syrup for Canada Day on July 1st?

Let's face it, poor President Obama can't get a break.

He doesn't wear a jacket in the oval office.
His wife wore the wrong clothes in her garden.
His wife wears shoes that are too expensive.
They selected the wrong kind of dog.
They celebrated Cinco de Mayo.
He bowed to the same foreign official that Bush bowed to.
He attends the wrong church.
Etc.

Impeach him now and stop all of this!
