Americans will vote for a woman, a Republican one.

Thanks. I thought you might mean that, but then again, you may have been referring to a disease!

What is the big deal about divorce?. How does that affect a politicians ability to govern? Or is it just the double standard thing.

Agreed.

I'm sorry, but I would vote three times for Hillary Clinton before I'd vote for any other Republican besides Rudy Giuliani.

That was the point of the statement.

I'd rather Hillary ruin it, than any of the other republicans campaigning against Rudy for the nomination.

The one bright spot I could see if Mrs Bill Clinton became POTUS, imagine at the state of the union speeches with Pelosi sitting behind her making faces behind her back! Were talking cat fight royale!

Like abortion, these same folks wanted to ban divorce too.

Or course, then they'd have to legalize assisted suicide

I try to look at issues like the economy and health care. If a politician is good/effective- he can be divorced 5 times for all I care. Why is it that in the US there is a preponderance of certain parties that try to legislate personal issues?- I believe some European countries have surmised correctly; we are too young a country, still. If we were a 2,000 year old country, perhaps people would be a little more mature about legislating "morality". Then again, I am not the kind of person who thrives on celebrity gossip and yellow journalism.

I'm just saying that the conservatives, especially in the south, don't like the idea that a president has had a divorce. They think that it is immoral.
I think.....I know Rudy is great. He was the only one who got rid of the insipid mobs in N.Y. (or at least weakened them a lot) while he was district attorney. Not to mention Making to city a lot cleaner as mayor.
