Given the Catholic Church's record of protecting predators I'd say the Church itself is at times the most out of line with its own teachings while a POTUS's behavior relative to Catholic teachings is irrelevant.

Question Catholic?

Isn't that the sect that's running out of priests and churchgoers?

Christianity is a fine way to live and gives its believers great comfort. The problem has been created by priests and Preachers distorting the Word for their own comfort, aggrandizement and protection. The Cathedral does not make the Church, the believers do.

You got a point there. The Catholic Church used to be the ultimate expert in torture. Today they just rape small children.

Obviously, Obama, who claims Christianity, but is the most unChristian of any recent President.

But since Catholics are "out of line" as you put it with Biblical Christianity, Bush, too, would be "out of line" with Catholic teaching (we had the Reformation for a reason).

I say they are both out of line with Catholic teachings. The reason is that they are suppose to follow the word of the constitution which covers a broad range of people. America is not about Christianity or Catholicism or whatever brand of religion you believe in. If you live in this country you have the right to vote for whomever you choose. I will say thou at at this day in time when you choose your vote you have to look much further beyond abortion, gay marrage, and other hot topic religious issues. Bush ran on a religious ticket and done nothing, Obama was on the other side and he's going to do nothing also.

ndfmnlf.....why is it okay for you liberals to generalize about the Catholic Church but when people generalize about Islam and the violence associated with it...you know beheadings, terror bombings, crashing planes into buildings, you become an instant apologist who HAS to point out that all Muslims are not like that. You are a hypocrite who plays whatever side makes you feel good. There are bad priests just like there are bad posters on the Citydata board....stop making stupid comments about priests raping small children...yes it has happened and yes it is reprehensible...they should be tried to the fullest extent of the law.....but you are the same person that will cover for other religions when it suits your liberal leanings......give me a break........
