That he will be a hero for life in the eyes of the Iraqi people who without Bush would still be under a dictators rule.

Bush now becomes a HERO for freeing a nation to its people.

How about Harry Truman?
How about Eisenhower?

WWII was a serious war America had to enter
Eisenhower didn't start the Korean War
Kennedy apologized and admitted his mistakes on national TV
LBJ was a pig in some sense, but more just incompotent above anything else
And yes, Nixon was a warmongering pig

Why are you revising history? Do you think all wars are just? Vietnam was not just, and even it was more justified than the Iraq war, which was not an ideological struggle gone awry, as was the case in Vietnam of an Asian nation turning communist.

Iraq, on the other hand, existed only for the financial gain of those who started it. In a few days over 30 oil companies will auction for the rights to wells in Iraq, the first time in decades that their nationalized industry will again be up for grabs to multi nationals like Exxon and Shell.

Now that pesky Saddam is out of the way, the money can start flowing again. Too bad so many had to die to make a profit.

Oh well.

So because Kennedy apologized, he is not a "warmonger?"

Eisenhower didn't start the Korean War, but citizens and U.S. troops were killed during his term.

The Vietnam war ended under Nixon.

I agree with your comment about LBJ.

If he really was a "dictator," he would still be in office.
