I dont know about anyone else but I think McCain has very litle oppurtunity to be the next president. What do you think?

McCain for some reason was seen as moderate in 2000 but now has switched into being a very, very conservative politician. Its hard to know where he stands on anything.

I also think age is a factor for McCain, he just seems like an established old-school politician that is out of touch a little and additionally his Iraq war positions arent likely to help him out in the general election.

You know, I like the guy, I may be inclined to vote for him, but....aside from him politics, the energy just isn't there. I hate to say it is his age because Reagan at his age made a great president, I think Dole would have made a great president at his age. But, just something about him now, he doesn't have that presidential presence anymore. I find it difficult to define.

As far as his politics go, well he is still somewhat of an independent. But what happens when you get some of these guys that take the middle road on everything is you end up with not pleasing anyone. The Iraq stand - he has liberals angry, his illegal alien stand - he has conservatives angry. Just co-sponsoring a bill with Ted Kennedy is enough to make any conservative get sick.

I wouldn't vote for him because of his stand on the War, although I think I understand his feelings, not his reasoning. But I saw him in a clip on the Jon Stewart show (on the internet) and he is one spunky guy--and he didn't show his age nearly as much as one might think. If I find the clip I'll post it--he took on Stewart more successfully than many a contender!

Default McCain is tired

John McCain seems just plain tired. I suspect he is slipping and is not in good enough physical or mental condition to run for President or be President.

I agree he seems to have lost his touch and lacks personal energy or charisma.
