CT Sen Poll: Blumenthal Lead Drops To*3 - Real Clear Politics – TIME.com

Quote:
In the wake of the top-of-the-fold New York Times article calling out Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal for exaggerating his military record, his Republican opponents have made major gains since the last poll taken just two weeks ago.

In a Rasmussen poll conducted yesterday (500 LV, MoE +/- 4.5%) Blumenthal now leads Linda McMahon by just 3 points, with support less than 50%. His lead over Rob Simmons to 11 points after holding a 23-point lead two weeks ago.
So maybe this seat is now in play again. He was a shoe-in just a week ago.

Another sanctimonious liberal hoisted on his own BS. I hope he hangs in there and keeps running - the GOP will destroy him with ads.

He'd either better get some pointers from Hillary or he'd better drop out. I'm reminded of the Torricelli senate race in New jersey. He stonewalled and stonewalled and denied the ethics allegations against him until it was at the end of the election and when he knew he would be defeated he caved and dropped out. Legally it was too late to run a replacement but the New Jersey state supreme court defied state law and let Frank Lautenberg come out of retirement to run. The same way with Arlen Specter, these guys will not give up power unless you drag them out kicking and screaming.
He'll get orders to drop out, lots of politicians lately that can't win get forced by the party to drop out. Only the ones with insurance can defy the party.

Again lets see other polls to see if they back up this result. FTR, I think its extremely unlikely that CT voters will send the wife of Vince McMahon to the Senate.

Yes, Linda McMahon. I was just pointing out that she is the wife of the owner of the WWE (and has been involved with it herself)

Yes she has, and it is a very successful business, been around a long time. Trades publicly on the NYSE...symbol WWE.

I'll take someone like her any day over a lying weasel AG.
