What do you think Obama's chances will be for reelection?

Many believe he is the clear cut winner for the next election, and many also believe he is a one term president.

What are your thoughts on this?

Criteria to help you explain why you say this;

- His foreign policy (if any)
- His approval rating (current)
- His belief on certain subjects
- His future opponent (assumption)
- His take on legislation (bills, taxes, etc..)

I'm not so sure he's interested in a second term. That's not to say he wouldn't take it if there wasn't a formidable candidate. At the end of the day, I think he's primarily concerned with passing his liberal agenda more than he's interested in a second term. I do think that Democratic losses in the fall will help his approval ratings in the long term (1-2 years). Conservatives won't be able to blame everything on liberals. He will be forced to work across the aisle more than he has. If he spins it right, it could be just what he needs to improve his approval ratings.

In regards to his actual job performance, I think he's doing fairly well. I'm skeptical on healthcare and I don't support bailouts to the extent they were given but on most subjects, I think he's done well. Overall, I would give him a C+. I think that his chances for re-election is greatly improved if the stock market continues to trend upwards and unemployment continues to trend downward. Of the course, national security will continue to be a factor.

His chances are probably not great. Anyone who would be in office in the aftermath of a major recession is going to face a lot of blame for things not being good. That may not be fair, but that's just how it goes. In this case, we also have a huge deficit, which is also going to push a lot of people over to the other side.

Yeah he wasn't my ideal candidate, I have no allegiance to either party. I liked Romney's economic strategy and John Edward's economic strategy. But we know how that went.

I support the president because he is our leader, we're not some 3rd world country, that will continuously blame our leader for everything, but unfortunately the message hasn't gotten out to everyone yet. So much hatred, it's so pointless. He's going to be president for another two years, people should just accept that.

If they dislike him that much, then they should expand their knowledge about other viable contenders for next election to their friends and family and try to broaden support.

I'm also sketchy about his health care bill, and I personally think handing out the information about how many nuclear weapons we have to the media and the world was a wrong move.

But overall, if he can get his approval rating up, and if he can improve the economy more, he'll have a far better time with his reelection.

No way. I have faith the people of the USA are smart. They were conned once by Obama. It will not happen again.

It depends. If Mitt Romney ran, he'd beat Obama and the 2010's would become an "80's again" era. If anybody else ran, then Obama would probably end up winning.
