Im currently living in southern Arizona, I was born and raised in the Eugene area and I need to get back to the green of Oregon.Ive been down here for close to 7 years now and im sure alot has changed in the areas I use to live. If anyone could give me a bit of insight on how the jobs are and how much Eugene and Cottage Grove have grown it would be very much appriciated. Thanks..Oregon fan in Tucson

Default Hey

If I knew I would tell you, I posted a similar thread, trying to receive input on Eugene but I got no response. I live in the Austin area of Texas but I am moving up to Eugene in late July or August. I was hoping to find out some things about it before I got there, so I would know a little bit about it, maybe someone will reply eventually. I visited once back in January 2010, and my best friend recently moved up there, but I still hardly know anything about it

Best of luck to us both, hah

The job situation here in Oregon is not good. Last I heard the unemployment rate was something like 10% give or take. My husband and I lived in Cottage Grove, on Hwy 99 just past Saginaw 4 years ago and it hasn't changed much since then. Still a nice town with the small town atmosphere. We moved back to Oregon a little over a year ago and live in Springfield. Wish we were back in Cottage Grove, I really miss living there.

Good luck.

There are so many people who ask about jobs. The best thing to do is look at the classified and job listings online. There are several websites that allow you to do this. Also, going to the city website itself and searching for jobs, or the job search engines through the local colleges, the local hospitals, etc. Eugenejobs.net is a good one to use.
