Will be in the Corvallis area for a wedding later this month and will have a few extra days (3-4) to vacation... recommendations of places to go given the limited amount of time?

They have a lot of great camping on the coast but it's sometimes hard to get a spot on short notice. You can check reserveamerica.com or oregon.gov. Newport has a nice aquarium and Canon Beach is wonderful. Portland is still a great non-beach choice for things to do and you can often get 3-4 star hotels when bidding on priceline.com for $75-100. You can pull off crater lake as a long day trip from Corvallis and right now the whole rim drive all around the lake is open and well worth the trip if you've never been there.
