Also I found that in Switzerland, it could be applied ...
I disagree about France - ALL regions of France are traditionally Catholic, except for the south-central Auverne region which has a significant population of Calvinists.
Alsace is a hotbed of reputed Protestants as well. Things are much simpler since the abandon of religious practice in France.
Atheist. I believe that every time you masturbate, God kills a little kitten. Therefore, I stay away from the God and religion types like I avoid a bad neighborhood or a dose of the clap. America has gone off the deep end mixing politics/social policy/war & foreign affairs with religion.
Georgia joined the Council of Europe in 1999, Armenia in 2001. Culturally, they consider themselves to be European countries and are also members of the European Broadcasting Union and other European entities.
I was born in a very religious Catholic family in southeastern Poland, actually Poland was then almost uniformly Catholic, all residents of my city attanded sunday mass and Catholic religion was taught in school, I knew NOBODY who was not Catholic and I didn't even realize that other parts of the world are do diverse. Why was that? Simply because till 1990 Poland was communist and Russians did everything they could to pull away Poles from Catholic church and forbidden fruit tastes the sweetest. The more so as a Pole was choosen to be the pope (John Paul II) and he (together with Ronald Reagan) had an immense contribution to the fall of communism, and the collapse of Soviet Union. How things look nowadays in PL: many young people don't care about religion, I'd say Poland is 75%-80% Catholic and 20%-25% non religious. I myself am in these 20-25%. Other religions in PL are inconsiderable.

Well Israel and Morocco is part of Eurovision but it is in Asia and Africa. Parts of Georgia is physically part of Europe but Armenia is not.
Not many religious beliefs among Europeans in Catholic Western Europe, but the Church is still powerful and many people pretend to be good Catholics or whatever to be in the "Club". For example, in Italy the church is powerful and there are not many believers, but many are "traditional catholics" to take advantage of the power of the church, the same in Spain.
Here you can be catholic and not believe in anything, being catholic is more like being part of a civil association.
There's a big dissociation between Catholic Celebrations and Catholic Faith.
Russians are basically with the Russian Ortodox Church that is basically Christian. They do not follow up with the Vatican and the Pope due to they have their Patriarchs and religious hierarchies.
