Its funny most people always talk about southern european, northern european and eastern european looks, but they never mention the "western european looks".
Nobody speaks about a "western European look" simply because such a thing does not exist.
The UK, like all other countries of Europe, people of various looks; but not really more than Netherlands or Germans. Even lots of Scandinavians are not stereotypically "nordic". Everyone in Europe is somewhere in the middle of a continnum form extreme typical looks.
Most brits look like a mixture between northern/southern europeans which creates the typical "western looks" the same that most white americans fit right in imo.
Anyone who is observant, and does not think that 'all whites look alike because they are arbitrarily classified as 'white' by the US government' will see what I'm talking about.
I'm even going one step further: Not everyone in a single country looks the same. As for the north-south eyeshape thing: Never noticed that.
It should be the opposite. We Southeners (I am from Spain) have a lot of sunlight, so there's no evolutionary need to have big eyes.
Meanwhile Northeners have little sunlight, so it would make sense they had big eyes in order to catch as much light as possible.
You can see it in the animal kingdon, those who live underground have big eyes, remember those albino alligators in the New York sewage system, they have much bigger eyes than wild alligators.

Yes, but people that live near the artic pole have eyes adapted to snow, those new Europeans are also people that have a large hun, tatar and mongolian admixture.

I wondered when you would turn up! You speak the biggest load of nonsense on here! The French and English share the same heritage I am afraid no matter how much you dislike the idea!! They are VERY alike even to the point where a sizeable percentage of French and English people arent even of European descent!! All of this business of eye size and hair colouring and eye colouring is nonsense in the modern world, if you think all British are blonde haired and blue eyed you are VERY much mistaken - same with Germans, and I might add if you were to put English and French people into a room and asked somebody to 'pick' them out they would not be able to!!! Posting random pictures of random people is not going to prove otherwise!! I could post 10000 pictures of English people that just happen to look a bit 'Spanish' or 10000 pictures of English people that just happen to look a bit 'German' or 10000 pictures of English people that look a bit 'Nigerian' sheeeeesh!
I picked western european nationalities when I see the reaction they gent when reading a menú and buy ther clothes and stance.
Now this I can believe, you are FAR more likely to guess peoples nationality (in Europe) by the way they act or dress (social conditioning) than you are by how they look!

So having small eyes would protect their eyesight from the light reflecting on the snow? Good point. But then what happens with Japanise, Chinese, Thai, etc, people? they have smal eyes and there's not much snow over there?

I said it was a generality and a pattern. If 8 out of 10 Italians have bigger eyes than Swedes, I think that's a pattern. If 8 out of 10 Italians have darker eyes, it's also a trend. If 8 out of 10 men are taller than the average woman, it clearly shows that men are on average bigger. It's ridiculous to call anything a stereotype just because it doesn't ALWAYS apply.
