Interesting question. I generally avoid cities when I travel, with rare exception. I like small towns/villages, and the countryside. My list:
St. Petersburg
Bavaria, from Berchtesgaden to Lake Constanz
Salzburg and Tirol
Slovenia: Lake Bled and the vicinity
Dubrovnik,
Plitvice Lakes, Croatia
Bay of Kotor, Montenegro
