The song "You're my everything" by Santa Esmeralda (USA / France) was very popular in the USSR in the early 1980s. You could often listen to it on the radio. And there is one of the best Valery Leontiev's (Soviet / Russian superstar) songs - "The sunny days are gone" (was written about 1986). I think the Soviet song was inspired with the American song.
