I don't know, good economy, low unemployment, great football league/fans/stadiums. I was only joking, I am not jealous. But they are a model on how to do things the right way.

Have there been any recent polls regarding Europeans resenting Germany? We see Merkel being hitlerised by some Greeks in the news, but does the majority of Greeks and other Europeans really think like that?

The CBC article is claiming facts, but without any proof.

"Europeans": here we go again grrr.

Europe is a continent with tons of nationalities in it. Some, especially the southern ones, are holding a grudge against Germany for the moment. Others, especially the northern ones, aren't.

why do so many people hate the u.s ?

the biggest player on the pitch is often made out to be the root of all evil , in europe , germany is considerabley stronger than every other country economically so naturally they have the biggest say in an area which is so interdependant and interlinked due to the single currency , that said , their is more rationale to it than that , many believe that germany are driving eurozone policy in a direction which entirely suits themselves , merkel comes across as knowing what medicine the rest of the smaller countries require , i dont blame germany for doing whats best for them , i dont believe the single currency was a good idea in the first place , problems were always going to arrise when you tried to unite many disprate nations under a single currency and central bank , germany , italy and greece are too different in every way , didnt bother the german bankers who needed customers over a decade ago when their own country was in a rescession since the nineties

Yes, we stand united against the German threat and their never-ending quest for Lebensraum.
