I still cannot believe it, but here is the rumor.

On July 23, Dr. Jim Willie, a well respected statistician and founder of the Hat Trick Newsletter, was a guest on the USA Watchdog weekly podcast. During the 30 minute interview with host Greg Hunter, Dr. Willie provided an astonishing announcement from a high level source within the London banking system that Germany was on the cusp of severing its long-standing obligations to the U.S., and was ready to leave not only the European Union, but also the Euro currency and NATO to join then join up with Russia, China, and the BRICS coalition to strengthen the financial and economic power of the emerging global system coming out of Eurasia and the East.

Once a country has granted it's sovereignty and certain decision making powers to the EU, like Germany did, its only up to the EU to decide what it does with it. That's the reason why some countries choose to just abide EU laws without having a say in it (like Switzerland and Norway), because then they can also decide to stop doing so.

Art 50 TEU:

Quote:
1. Any Member State may decide to withdraw from the Union in accordance with its own constitutional requirements.

2. A Member State which decides to withdraw shall notify the European Council of its intention. In the light of the guidelines provided by the European Council, the Union shall negotiate and conclude an agreement with that State, setting out the arrangements for its withdrawal, taking account of the framework for its future relationship with the Union. That agreement shall be negotiated in accordance with Article 218(3) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union. It shall be concluded on behalf of the Union by the Council, acting by a qualified majority, after obtaining the consent of the European Parliament.

3. The Treaties shall cease to apply to the State in question from the date of entry into force of the withdrawal agreement or, failing that, two years after the notification referred to in paragraph 2, unless the European Council, in agreement with the Member State concerned, unanimously decides to extend this period.

4. For the purposes of paragraphs 2 and 3, the member of the European Council or of the Council representing the withdrawing Member State shall not participate in the discussions of the European Council or Council or in decisions concerning it.

A qualified majority shall be defined in accordance with Article 238(3)(b) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.

5. If a State which has withdrawn from the Union asks to rejoin, its request shall be subject to the procedure referred to in Article 49.
So yeah, of course Germany could withdraw, but it's more than unlikely that this will happen. That article OP posted is bogus.

Lol, this is the most ridiculous news I've heard in months. Germany will never leave EU and Euro area simply because they benefit very much from it. They also transfered billions of euros to other European countries in need in the past few years. And joining BRICS instead? Why would Germany, a highly-developed country based on industry, join a club (BRICS isn't an international organization, it's just a bunch of countries put together in one category by London's bankers) of developing countries?

BRICS is actually an organization now. They established a New Development Bank just this month, with headquarters in Shanghai. The initial capital will be $100 billion. China contributes $41 billion, South Africa $5 billion, and the rest $18 billion each.

Is this a joke or something? The only thing we see happening is Germany exerting more control over the EU and being fed with tha way Russia acts with regards to the Malaysia Airlines plane thatw as shot down.
