Thank you!

If you ever will decide to visit, don't take an organized trip but rent a car or travel with train & buses and plan your journey as you want. Transport is relatively cheap and accomodation is very cheap, while at western standards.

You can have an overview of Romanian zones, their specific and heritage here:

Is made by me and without false modesty, is the best resource on matter on the internet. All others are confusing or extremely incomplete.

Default Gura Râului, Mărginimea Sibiului Ethnographic Zone, Transylvania

Gura Râului, Mărginimea Sibiului Ethnographic Zone, Transylvania

Mărginimea Sibiului is an area which comprises 18 Romanian localities in the south-western part of the Sibiu County, in southern Transylvania, all of them having a unique ethnological, cultural, architectural and historical heritage. The area is situated in the immediate vicinity of the cradle of Saxon Civilisation in Transylvania - the city of Sibiu, and occupy a surface of over 200 km². The villages are situated around the valleys of different rivers which flow from the Cindrel Mountains through the Transylvanian Plateau. The architecture was influenced by the Saxon architecture.

The video is filmed during a national folkloric festival.

Poenari Castle, Făgăraș Mountains, Wallachia

The castle dates from 14-15th century and is situated in the incredibly wild gorges of Argeș River, surrounded by forests filled with bears. Bears descend almost every night at the hotel at the foot of the castle, searching food.

Bucegi Plateau

Aerial film with Bucegi Mountains that shows the "Jurassic Park" - like alpine plateau suspended at an average altitude of over 2,000 m (maximum height 2,505 m). Toward east the slope is very inclined almost vertical. All the slopes are covered in very wild, prehistorical fir forests and inhabited by 124 bears, living on only 326 km². Plus chamoix, lynxes and other wild animals.

I recommnd to got to video's page and watch it in full screen.
