Will be in Stockholm on Sunday, going to the Vasa museum ship but now I just realised that's probably not going to take up the whole day so wondering if any one has any ideas of something fun to do there (preferably things that won't bore a small child or exhaust hungover adults). Also recommendations for a place to eat.
Thanks, I could probably easily spend the whole day walking around there, love Old Towns. The Changing of the Guard sounds interesting to watch as well.
Sidenote, would a Finn really do a booze cruise in Sweden? As far as I'm aware its only the Norwegians who does that (Sandefjord-Strömstad ferry)
Yep, both Turku-Stockholm and Helsinki-Stockholm are pretty popular ferry routes for that. The latter route is easily overshadowed by Helsinki-Tallinn, though.

However our beer and booze is at least as expensive as in Finland. Its only the Norwegians who thinks our expensive alcohol is cheap.
Here in South Sweden people do booze cruises to Germany (Trelleborg-Sassnitz and Trelleborg-Rostock) and Poland (Karlskrona-Gdynia), the stores ashore there like Bordershop, Aldi, Real and Calle are gold mines for all Swedish alcohol entusiasts...

Booze is bought on the ferry itself, where it's relatively cheap. People usually also buy stuff like snus. You are right, though, that going to Tallinn for booze is a bit cheaper. Thing is, there is no ferry from Turku to Tallinn that I'm aware of.

Okay now I get it. When people do booze cruise here its almost exclusively for the stores ashore when they arrive, especially on the trips to Sassnitz which is only 3 or 4 hours, they hardly even buy anything on the boats cause its much cheaper in Sassnitz and Bergen Auf Rügen, many of the booze cruisers has their cars with them on the trips that are full loaded with beer and booze when they return to Sweden later the same day.
