Now as far as i know Syracuse is a small place compared to Palermo.
Which one is better for food, view, attractions...etc.??
Syracuse can be visited in two days at most, it's divided in a little island called Ortigia which holds the city's historical center and where most of the sights are and the mainland where both the modern and the ruins of the ancient Greek city are found.
As for Palermo, it's a metropolis and that may have its positives as it has more sights, a larger choice when it comes to food (for example street food is commonly found, especially if wondering through the markets of Vucciria, Capo and Ballaro, and the same goes for foreign restaurants), a larger and more interesting nightlife, and its negatives such as a higher crime, being more chaotic, more expensive, ecc.
I think Palermo is more interesting for a visitor and Syracuse for living there as a expat given that you were interested in it.
Aside from that, Roma is a mismanaged city, it did have litter problems but it lasted relatively little time and only interested some boroughs of the city. Aside from Rome (whose rat issue has been going on for four years now, mostly in the parks of the city although there have been problems in the city centers at times), it doesn't seem to be better in London

What's the most popular real estate website??
We have tons of good sites but it seems Europe is lacking that as well

Many many tiny websites.
I suggest you to focus on more local websites instead of European wide ones. They are usually more accurate, the most popular website of this kind in Italy are Immobiliare, Casa, Trovacasa, Prendicasa, Idealista and Tuttocasa. That should be enough to keep you occupied in your house hunt for a while

That's always advisable. But OP wanted the most popular, and not tiny...

They aren't small either. At the end, when looking at properties in an Italian cities the websites i have named probably offer more than more popular ones. They are not as popular just because they offer a service for one country only.
Aside from that, i have never heard of even one of those websites you named but then again i guess you don't know Italian ones either.
