I have been to Amsterdam several times and love the quaintness - walks, museums, variety of foods and brown cafes. I am looking for a place to chill for several days - ride bike, eat and rink, and enjoy another culture. How does Stockholm compare to Amsterdam in mid June for a tourist?

I recommend you Amsterdam but i'm quite impartial on this
I can also recommend you Rotterdam and Den Haag, if you didn't visit those cities is the time to do it, Rotterdam is every day closer and closer to Amsterdam. It's much more modern than Amsterdam and it reminds me more of a US city, with all of those skyscrapers and the modern architecture. Amsterdam is more classic, but it's also very beautiful. Rotterdam has also the old dutch style but just a very few as most of the city center was destroyed on the war.
Btw, if you decide to come here I can recommend you many things to do, if you want pm me.
And yes, it's incredible from June to September it's the best climate out here and it's all lushy and green.
