I have a half sister who was born in Germany all I know was my dad was in the military and brought her mom to us and she left my sister was born June 28 86 and her name is saskia and her mother is sabine please help
Saskia is a feminine name. There are at least two different sources of the name. One is of Dutch origin, where it originally meant "a Saxon woman" (metathesis of "Saxia"). The other, thought to be of Slavic origin, means "protector of mankind".
I know of a Saskia on the British Olympic sailing team.
I hope you find her. I know I will probably never find my half sister as I do not have a name for her or her mother. My dad met her mother while stationed in Germany in 1985 or 1986 and she was born in 1986 or 1987. That's all the information I have as my father died when I was 3 years old, so this story was passed on to me through my mother. She did not know the name of either the girl or her mother. I pray that you can find your half sister! The best of luck to you.
