Neo Nazi music is a reflection of a current situation in the countries. If people have problems, they try to find a way out in simple and understandable ideas. Unfortunately, these ideas are unlikely to make people's lives better. For example, in Russia the nationalist ideas were strong in the 90s and early 2000s. And the music scene reflects that.

Now in Russia this is the lot of freaks, and the musical-poetic scene reacts accordingly.

well while not necessarily "Nazi" in its essence, there have been cases in Italy where foreigners were killed by italians for racist reasons and have not faced high charges, so for sure not everything is bright

IMO there's a relatively small cadre of committed neofascists and neonazis (not the same thing) that would have the support of maybe 1 to 5% of the population on their own terms (depending on country). Then there's a much bigger group of people skeptical of open borders and unchecked high levels of immigration.

Those people often find it hard to get representation in mainstream parties and are thus receptive to political influences outside the mainstream which then often get lumped in together as 'extreme right' solely on account of their views on immigration.

It's at the peril of the 'powers that be', which desperately and stubbornly guard their consensus on such issues, to essentially condemn such large numbers of people to a life of political opposition vs the establishment. It's one way to keep them out of power for a while, but it also opens up the divisions and sharpens political disputes to a level where democratic republican systems struggle to contain the partisan animosity within acceptable frameworks such as parliamentary votes etc.

Fake news.

From your link "Adriatici was quoted as saying that the gun went off after El Boussetaoui pushed him to the ground as he was trying to call the police." https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/p...occan-n1274626

Another article:

Quote:
The public safety and security councillor in the northern city of Voghera, Massimo Adriatici, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of shooting and killing a Moroccan immigrant after a row on Tuesday night.

Adriatici, a lawyer and member of the rightwing League party, reportedly said the fatal shot went off accidentally after he was pushed to the ground by the victim

The League said he had allegedly fired at the 39-year-old immigrant in self-defence.

The League said he was defending a girl from alleged molestation by the immigrant, who they said had a history of being drunk and disorderly as well as violent

He is facing charges.

He was pushed to the ground by the victim and the gun went off. He wasn't holding or aiming the gun.
