We know that Geneva is the smallest city that can be considered global without an argument. However, there are some the same size and occasionally smaller that some consider global and some do not. To follow up on my previous thread, I will ask this with a poll.
Global city is a rather meaningless concept. So no vote from me. The Wikipedia article defines it roughly as a city with a high importance to the world.
I now live in a small town with less than 10k people. It is not important to the world on its own, but its biscuit factory is one of the largest in Germany, maybe even globally…
Historically Venice stands out in the list above, culturally maybe Florence. The other ones are much more regional.
